Linkedin: Reverse the Connection Process

You only get 3,000 invites in Linkedin - but you can have an unlimited number of people request a connection. Here's a method for doing that.
This page (Connect with Bill French on Linkedin) provides a button that displays my profile's invitation page. I also include my email address, a prerequisite for requesting a connection.

The URL for the button is simple - here's the template - simply fill in the missing items and you're ready to use it as a link or in a button. You can also use this in an email, thus expanding the ability to gather connections beyond the 3,000 limit in Linkedin.

This is a pretty cool idea - I often want to connect with someone I've known but lack (at my fingertips) the required email address, or I have an outdated email address.
